A flock of birds

Today, My co-worker told me a story. This Morning, when he got to his company, he saw a flock of birds above his car. And he cut the engine and tried to get off. Suddenly, he heard frightful noise like firecracker. He was surprised and got out of the car in a hurry to check out what happened. He found a lot of black stain spots on the car. they were bird droppings. If he got out of the car a couple of seconds earlier than that, he would be covered over with bird droppings.

2006 FIFA World Cup Germany

I watched World Cup England vs Paraguay on TV with my friend yesterday. I hadn't watched Football games for a long while. That night was my favorite team England's game. Good games go well with beer. David Beckham’s free-kick skimmed off the head of Carlos Gamarra and into the net. The free-kick was nothing short of eye-opening.

Italian Night !

I had a party Italian Night last weekend. My friend made a Italian cuisine at my place. I appreciate his going to the trouble of preparing the big dinner for us. He said he asked detailed cuisine to his mother. The cuisine was unique for Japanese. First, we made chicken cutlets and boil them up with tomato sauce and dish them up with boiled pastas and greens (The name has completely slipped my mind). It's very simple and delicious. And It goes well with wine. The night, about ten people came to the party. It was fun!

Masters of the music

I went to Shinjuku yesterday. And I walked toward Tower Record near Shinjuku station. I got three DVDs at Tower Record. They are all classical music. One of the DVD is a documentary about my favorite conductor Carlos Kleiber. It has concert and rehearsal scene. His music is always fresh and exciting. He conducts like dancing. And his talk is very interesting. The rehearsal scene would show you his fabulous thought and joy of music. And other DVD is a piano concert. Recently, DVDs has not only concert scene but interview and rehearsal scene as an appendix. It's really nice. It has a long interview scene with the player. It was really interesting. Well, the DVD is about a piano festival Masters of the keybord. About five pianists play a couple of piano pieces. I highly recommend Francesco Libetta's performance. His keyboard technics is amazing. Especially, the performance of Etude en forme de valse by Saint Saens is eye-opening. Everybody says that piece is the most difficult piano piece in the world. His fingers float like a butterfly and produce incredible acrobatic sound.
