Last Weekend

Last weekend was kind of productive. As usual, I went to my library and borrowed some books and CDs and did grocery shopping.

Then I sanded and painted the table chair on my patio. It was harder than I had expected though, but I am satisfied with the finish.

The night, I watched the Spanish GP on TV. Alonso, a Spaniard qualified in the second for his home GP the night before and I thought he would be able to aim the podium. But he retired in the second half of the race due to the engine malfunction. I guess he was dejected so much. But he says his car's big improvements and competitiveness buoy him very much.

And it's a relief that Super Aguri could join the race. Everybody had thought they might not be able to join the rest of the races anymore. I know they're still struggling with financial problems. I strongly hope they are able to manage it very soon!

Ah, and I was very surprised at Heikki's big accident at the 9th corner. I heard that he was a temporary unconscious just after the accident and he had no problem at the checkups and he will attend the next race.

At the end of the day, Kimi showed us the consistent driving and won the race. He is leading this championship at the moment.

And don't forget that Button won the 6th place and brought 3 point!

Five things that I want to buy

Five things that I want to buy.

- a digital single-lens reflex camera.
- a liquid-crystal TV set.
- a Blue ray recorder.
- a fridge.
- a rice cooker.

But I don't think I will buy them soon.
I think I can manage it without those new ones so far.
Keeping dreaming is not so bad.

Brahms's Intermezzo 117-1

I played Brahms's Intermezzo 117-1 at first sight today. I haven't played his works so much but have listened to his works so much. I think his works have a romantic color and some nostalgic feels. It sounds as if I felt the sorrow of parting and had the good old days in my eye. When I was a teenager, I was too young to sentimentalize of my old days. It's a best song when I think of my old reminiscences.

Season of Farewell

As I said before, I went to the first piano lesson in twenty-two years today. I got so nervous that I could only play the piano awkwardly. I guess I have a lot of things to learn about techniques, harmonies and many kinds of music styles. But it was fun. I only played an easy piece. At the end, I was required to bring a more difficult and challenging music. Yeah, I'd do my best, though. Oh, man. Give me a break! I screamed within my mind.

In the night, I went have a drink with my Aeon friends and a teacher who will leave in a couple of weeks. And just now, one of my English teachers from Colorado is leaving for the US. It reminds me of this season is Spring and it's also a season of farewell.

Super Aguri's future is in doubt

Super Aguri's future is in doubt. I read the article in the internet the other day. I was so shocked! They couldn't get a financial assist from Magma Group eventually.

Super Aguri has just announced that they won't attend Barcelona test due to the financial difficulty. But hopefully they will keep racing and get some points in this season. The financial solution is obviously their key to start development.

I heard they still continued to negotiate with other parties. I hope they find a GOOD financial assist and bounce back soon!

Paganini Etudes

This is my dinner!

It's been a short while since I practiced the piano last time. It was all right. And I played some of Chopin's Etude and tried the difficult parts many times. I think I should try another piece of the Etudes sometime soon. It might be Op10-5, called black keys. But I think something also like Liszt's Paganini Etudes might be good.

Piano lesson

This year's cherry blossom season here has gone yet. As I said before, I has quit my singing lesson and will restart piano lesson from now. (But I am going to keep studying German at the moment.) It would be a sort of turning point of my life. Singing and playing the piano are both music itself though, but I feel those have something, complete different aspect each other. I haven't yet found what it would be. But I hope the new piano lessons show me something new to me.

iKnow

I just tried 'iKnow' you told me the other day. That's cool! I started as the beginner's level and just fulfilled today's norm. I hope my English level will become much better soon!

Golden Week holidays

Today I went to Aeon Caffee for a free conversation. It was fun! I hadn't known this, but the topic was supposed to be about travel. But the topic had gone quickly and many other topics came. I talked about the Golden Week at first. This year's consecutive holidays, from the end of April to May is not so convenient - it's like a scattered holidays. I heard some people would be able to take 11 days off in a row. I wish I could have 11 days off. I should make plans for my scattered holidays soon. I might go back home and have leisured days reading books and driving to the sea shore or mountains.

My singing lessons

Today I finished my singing lessons. I remember I started to take the lesson in 2001, so I have taken it every Saturday for seven years. I think I've done a good job. I improved a lot and sung many many songs. Some of the songs gave me a really deep impression. Some of the songs harrowed me as well. My efforts were well rewarded, weren't they? I will start taking piano lesson from the next weekend. I am looking forward to the new lesson after 22 years.
