Maria Joao Pires

I went to my favorite musician's concert in Tokyo the other day. Maria Joao Pires is my favorite because I feel some special elements from her performances. Her performances are very warm and everybody'd feel as if your mother were there and were protecting you. This might be from her kind personality. The night's program was programed by mainly Chopin's works. I especially liked the third piano sonata. It has a gentle and quiet movement. I think this is the most beautiful movement I've listened to. She played this sonata nicely and brought me peace and comfort. It couldn't be better!

After the concert, I met Mike in Shinjuku after a long while. We had a drink and caught up each other. It was fun! I had such a productive day.

Bocce

I played bocce ball at a park this Sunday. I think this not quite popular game here in Japan. But there was another group who was playing the same game there. I wrote this down just for a reminder of the name of this game, bocce ball.

I had a cherry blossom viewing party last Sunday. The cherry bloom just reached full bloom. It was very beautiful. About 16 people came to the party. We cooked IchigoDaifuku (strawberry covered with Anko and Mochi) and Tonjiru(Miso soup with pork). It was fun.
